August 1 -- August?? are you kidding me? it's a beautiful Saturday in Roswell -- the doors and windows are open - temp 70ish - all is green from days of rain.
Speaking of rain... i remember less than 2 years Gov Perdue gathered people together to pray for rain - in public, on TV - bold to say the least - prophetic to say the most. he was called crazy to pray for rain "a public disgrace" "foolishness". Where are you now, Mr. Bruckner?? seems like people said 10 years before Lanier would recover.
Clint and the boys (Cyrus too!) are working on the greenhouse today. he and Andy went in 50/50 on a Craig's list greenhouse. i'll have to post some pics of his progress. should be interesting to say the least :-)
today i'm starting (restarting?) my blog post. THIS time i'm going to make it happen! so many good things are happening and time is passing so fast -- and my memory is so bad. it is so sad.
but here's to 2009! (over half way over but still.) Clint and i both turn 47 this year and we celebrated our 7th anniversary. it's destined to be our "lucky" year! i cant wait to see what good aka God things will happen next!
xoxo!
Update October 2, 2011:
i'm revamping my blog -- more like resurrecting it -- and i read this post. i was tempted to delete it but decided to comment on it instead...
that was written August 2009 and on Sept 21 the inside of our house flooded for the 2nd time in 5 years. at the time it didnt seem like such a big deal - been there, done that - but as the months went by all hell broke lose. exactly the way hell always breaks lose - not when the dam breaks and you are immediately flooded (no pun intended) but the slow leak that you dont really notice until its too late and the damage is done... like the frog in the hot water. you put a frog in boiling water and he jumps out - smart frong. you put a frog in cold water and turn up the heat he will boil to death not realizing the water is getting hotter.
that's how our hell broke lose...
but we just passed Sept 2011 - and in 2 years God has taken us from the valley to the mountain top. i love the view from here :-) and now i know better than ever before - wait and work faithfully, rejoice in everything, and leave the rest to Him. He dreams MUCH bigger than we do!
